This book is in Swedish only.. so far... I feel sorry for those who can not experience this wonderful story about little Juha's growth in the little Stockholmian suburb of Sävbyholm. The book takes place in the early seventies. Being funny is Juha's only skill. He is the clown of the class, the funny guy who gets to perform on the last classes of the fridays. He gets to perform as nobody else wants to. By knowing Juha, we get to know his mom Ritva and dad Bengt, who hate each other, little sister Marianne and the guineapig Fartie. We get to know the classmates, Jenny, Juha's best friend who carries an ugly hair buckle in her ugly hair, and who Juha is ashamed of being with. We get to know Thomas, of course, Thomas with the crazy German mother. We get to know Stefan and Lennart, the mean classmates.
This is a book that offers as much tears as laughter. I both wept and cried when I read this wonderful book. This book is not local either, the sorrow and humor in it would work as good in Corea as in the US or as in Sweden. This is one of the most read books in Sweden during the last decade.

I agree with the other reviewer-- this book should definitely be translated into English. This is one of my favorite books of all time and I actually can't believe it's available only in Swedish...
