Holy roller coaster of emotions, I am not talking about the fun, screaming for joy, make you want to do it again kind either.
I am talking about the kind that are up and down and makes you anxious, scream you brains out terror, hair pulling kind. The kind that make you wonder why you even went there?

Don't get me wrong, this book was fan-freaking-tastic!!!!

I don't know where to begin, so lets start at the beginning shall we.....

April goes to college, rans in to cute, hot guy, like literally runs into him. (That was great by the way) Instant connection, we are talking sparks that are flying.
April goes to class, meets another cute, hot guy. Not any sparks this time. Gets to know cute, hot guy, Lukas, and starts to become friends with him.
She runs into, not literally this time, the first cute, hot guy. Which we find out is Isaac. Again with the sparks.
April finds out something about Isaac, that pretty much puts a halt to her getting to know him any further, even though she really really wants to, and he really really wants her.
So she decides to give up on Isaac. And thinks she will be happy. (HA fat chance at that, life is never that easy!)
She starts to date other cute guy, Lukas, but then she finds out something about him, which was like really really bad.
So she's in a two day self pity party, drunk, hasn't eaten, etc etc. In walks Isaac. He cleans her up, feeds her and they live happily ever after, right?

WRONG!!!

Just when you think its the ending to a happy beginning, something else happens, and that I am NOT going to give away. You will have to read for your self if you want to know.

It does end on a cliffhanger, but not a really really bad, I'm going to pull my teeth out, and maybe stalk the arthur until the next book is out kind of bad. But still it's a cliffhanger. WHY oh WHY to you torture us that way. Does it make you happy to leave us in despair???

anyway, as you can see, I totally enjoyed this book, had to stop and breath deep at some parts (anxiety and all) But so totally worth it.
I can NOT wait for the next book. So please Karli Perrin write faster. MUST write faster!

Ok, so I was asked to read this book this last summer by the author but waited for the 2nd book because I am not big on cliffhanger. I personally apologize it took so long Karlin. I end up having too many blog tours and ARCs to read this last couple of months.

I am so glad I did because that was a Holywookie Cliffy!

So the big question after reading the first book, Team Isaac Sharpe or Team Lukas Roberts? To tell you the truth, I wanted to be Team Lukas but the sparks were not there so that decision was easy for me. I mean who wouldn't want to live on the edge a little and date your hot Uni Tutor! I really enjoyed this story. I will be starting "April Fools" in just a few.

"I am 100% sure. I am head over heals in love with you." He looked at me with so much love that there was no doubt in my mind he felt the same way.

"I've waited such a long time to hear you say those words. I've been in love with you since the first time I met you. You're it, you're the one."

My heart felt like it was going to explode as I burst out crying.

He laughed, "Hey, what's with the April showers?"

I half giggled, half sniffed as he wiped my cheeks with his thumb. "These are happy tears." I whispered.

He grinned, "No rain, no rainbow."
I'm a very big fan of dialogue, and this was chock full of it making this a very quick read. The conversations that went back and forth were witty and full of sarcasm which I found to be quite entertaining.

The story of April Adams starting a new school kicks off from the very beginning. On her first day she has the luck of bumping into Isaac whom she has an instant attraction to, obviously since he's extremely hot, how could you not! She makes a new friend, Lukas, on the same day within minutes of almost running Isaac down. Later that night at a mixer she's meeting Lukas at, she finds herself spending time with Isaac, discovering how their extreme connection to one another is. Unfortunately later on in the week she discovers that for both hers and Isaac's sake, they shouldn't and most importantly can't pursue each other. After spending time with Lukas as friends, things take a turn to something more. One day he makes a confession leaving her upset and depressed enough to miss a couple days of classes. Isaac takes notice of this and shows up since he's concerned. They can't deny their feelings anymore but still have that slight problem holding them apart.

This book leaves you with a little cliffhanger. I liked this enough that I will definitely be reading the next book. My reason for the 3 stars was I found myself conflicted on how some scenes played out. But overall this was a good story and recommend checking it out.
